The Alliance for the Golden Years stems fromthe Ravasi Garzanti Foundation’scommitment to building a new urban welfare system dedicated to longevity. It is a civic and generative pact that goes beyond a simple assistance program to transform vulnerability and needs into opportunities for community, solidarity, and social innovation.
Guidance, Support, and Accessibility
The CuraMI & ProteggiMI Network is a structural platform serving the Alliance for the Elderly: an integrated network of services designed to support older adults, caregivers, and families at times when navigating needs, rights, and opportunities can be complex.
What began as an experimental project is now a well-established model of community-based welfare, capable of offering a concrete point of reference for those seeking a listening ear, information, and support. The goal is to enhance the resources already available in the city by bringing them together.
Through the service centers, CuraMI & ProteggiMI identifies needs, develops personalized plans, and connects people with available resources, making what often seems fragmented or hard to access simpler and more accessible.
Launched in 2020, the initiative has gradually evolved from a pilot project into a structured network.
Today, CuraMI & ProteggiMI is an expanding regional infrastructure based on a "hub-and-spoke" model. This system ensures quality and continuity, thanks to a widespread and constantly growing network of service centers that are able to be close to people and serve as community hubs.
Service centers are not just places to access services, but places where people are listened to, guidance and mobilization of local resources.
Access is always free and provides an opportunity for listening and assessment, which serves as the starting point for developing a personalized plan.
